KAREN L. MORRIS

 

Karen L. Morris is the founding partner of the firm.  Ms. Morris is a graduate of Yale College B.A., M.A. 1980 and the Duke University School of Law, 1983.  Ms. Morris clerked for the Chief Justice of the Delaware Supreme Court, and has actively practiced before federal and state courts around the country. 

Before founding the firm, Ms. Morris practiced in New York with Fried, Frank, Harris, Schriver & Jacobson LLP, where she was principally involved in accounting and securities fraud litigation, both civil and criminal, complex tax litigation, and litigation in connection with merger and acquisi­tion transactions.

Ms. Morris is a member of the American Bar Association, has been Co-Chair of the ABA Subcommittee on Governance Issues in Litigation and Investigations and served as the Chair of the Subcommittee on Governance Litigation and Resolution.  Ms. Morris has served as a Special Assistant Attorney General for the State of Delaware, and has also spoken around the country and internationally on antitrust and representative litigation. 

Ms. Morris is a member of the bars of the States of Delaware and New York and the City of New York, and has been admitted to practice before numerous federal and state courts, including the United States Supreme Court, the Second, Third and Sixth Circuit Courts of Appeals, and the District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York and the District of Delaware.
